Here are a few different paths you can take when you don’t want another abortion.

Continue Your Pregnancy and Parent

Choosing to parent means embracing a lifelong journey. It comes with both challenges and so much love as you raise your little one.

If you didn’t choose this path before due to financial challenges, know that you have assistance, and we can help you learn about everything that’s available to you.

Georgia’s Right from the Start Medical Assistance Program covers prenatal care, delivery, prescription medications, and postpartum support for up to 12 months after birth—so long as you’re enrolled during pregnancy and meet income guidelines (up to 220% of the Federal Poverty Level).

Additionally, you can also take advantage of Georgia’s WIC program, which supports pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women by providing healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and healthcare referrals—including an eWIC card accepted widely across the state.

Pregnancy Care Center of Rincon also provides no-cost pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD testing, educational parenting classes, and baby supplies to help you begin your parenting journey well.

Consider Making an Adoption Plan

Adoption allows you to continue the pregnancy and choose a qualified family for your child. This is not co-parenting. Instead, you are transferring parental rights to others who will raise your child as their own.

In Georgia, adoptive families generally cover pregnancy-related medical costs not covered by insurance, plus other reasonable costs for counseling, living expenses, and legal fees. However, the expenses must go through a licensed child-placing agency. Some specific expenses (like rent, maternity clothing, food, etc.) may need to be paid through an attorney’s trust account.

However, you can still choose the level of contact you want by picking the type of adoption—open, semi-open, or closed—based on your preferences.
